Hello, first post :secret:

My names Jay and I just got myself a 96 trans am M6.

The car is a basic shorty headers, Flowmaster, maybe a underdrive pully. and the CC306 Cam.

The car has killed 3 motors, the first the old owner ran low on oil and with blown headgaskets witch broke the block into 4 peaces when it got to the machine shop. It was almost crushed before the last owner saved it.

the other 2 blocks it spun the front rod bearings out. He thinks from it being rich as hell because of the cam and no tune :hmm:

So it has a new block in it, at 44K miles the same setup. But my question is to you guys.

Should I try and repair the wiring harness? just about every single sensor wire has been cut and respliced in, I checked the tranny and even its wiring has been fucked with. I figure when it rains all the shit gets wet and isnt good for the computer to read the sensors.

Ill try and post some pics here in a little bit, Im trying to get a tuner to take a look and see how well everythings reading.

Im almost missing bolts that hold my ignition in place and you can see my TB coolant line isnt hooked up and im not sure if i should capp it off or what, its causing a vacuum leak if im not mistaken :hmm:

Thanks in advance guys

I would just fine a clean uncut harness. And no your coolant lines are not causing a vaccum leak

Well that makes me sound silly :monkey:

hows the TB coolant work on these, i was thinking it would be something like a open PCV dump on a LS1 TB witch would cause a vacuum leak.

Not to sure on the ls1 side of it, But the tb bypass is one of the first free mods ppl do. You could get some little caps for them but no biggie. There are IIRC two ports on the for vaccum and pcv that need to be connected. Check the site in my sig if you need the vaccum diagrams.

oo I guess mines already setup for TB bypass, My vacuum leak might be from my brake booster, where the hose attaches to the break booster is very lose. I think I need to replace it.
