So a few weeks ago I gave Solomon a shot at tuning my car.
At first I was having a little problems getting started but he worked the extra mile on trying to figure out things until we finally got it working.
As soon as I got the tuning loaded up OMG what a difference it made, it was nice not seeing the check engine light anymore or seeing those 11.2 AFRs are WOT.
The very first round (you get 3 free retunes) was pretty near perfect, if I end up getting a datalogger and let him view my scans I do not think there would be much to tweak.
He really knows his stuff and I highly recommend letting him tune your car.
Even after the tune he e-mails me wanting follow ups to make sure everything is still ok ( I have a cursed car that always has problems haha)

Thanks Solomon.

Yes sir!

He is a great guy and everyone over at LS1LT1 love his work. Very nice guy to deal with and very knowledgeable on the LT1.

He is doing my tuning right now as matter a fact

Thanks, Joker! I think that more of a difference may be felt on the OBDII LT1s, because their stock timing is often much less than the stock OBDI LT1s. I have no idea why, it's very strange.

Get back to me in email about your AFR, as I'm sure we can fine-tune things some right away if you have a wideband.

Oh, and R3D, I'm still waiting to hear back from you with a data-log of the last tune I sent you!

Yea no problem, the tune is pretty great now, I have very little idle issues but it was the same way before to tune, I think the IAC might be a little messed up. As far as the AFRs, I have always had the AFR guage and it was a huge improvement. I think there is a room for a little more but not a whole lot. I am just waiting till I get some datalogging programs for ya.

Heh, Solomon tuned my L99, it's SO much more responsive now.. Wonderful work. I gained quite a bit of horse power out of the L99 too.

definitely check your IAC. I didn't know until I took my motor apart for my turbo build that my IAC was junk (spring was stuck down with carbon) and it fucked with my tune from pcmforless. It never showed up as anything abnormally wrong in my datalogs either

Hey Brandon, did you replace your knock sensor yet?

And yeah, bad IACs can not show up in a data-log. One person I tuned had weird idle/stalling issues, but the IAC counts looked normal. He replaced the IAC valve and the problem went away.

Yea, I replaced the knock sensors, the code remained. Kinda got irritating at this point cause the code just won't leave. I did a test though, the stock tune I disabled that code (which also seems to remove knock retard alone), and the car ran like crap. So I'm guessing I do have a knock possibly? I don't know, but the tune you did, the first one, has been the best, and been happy with it.

I actually have a test I'm going to do when I go to my friends next time, I got some clamps that crimp over existing wires, allowing a new wire to temporarily be installed. If that fixes it, then yea, my harness is no good.

Solomon, I have to admit man, I haven't had any luck getting an LT4 knock module. I took your advice in doing the EGR delete on my setup, which seemed to help driveablility a bit, but I haven't tracked down the Knock Module. With only 18 days left til opening race day, I'm caught in a bind. I've had one on order since December from Summit, but I knew they were a "discontinued" back-order item. The estimated ship date keeps getting pushed back, but I have a feeling it will be a while before any are in circulation again. Heck, even Ebay hasn't had any in a loooong time. Is there anything I can do at the moment to get the retunes going? I have an IR thermometer, but no access to a wideband at the moment.

I just worked with Solomon on my 93. He really knows his business, helped determine my throttle was not opening completely and gave suggestions for troubleshooting. I also appreciated him taking time to explain some of the data master file components.

All in all a great experience which resulted in a much better performing car.

I have an LT4 module for for my 94, but i was going to possibly install roller rockers..

Now IM in a bind, lol.. Do I scrap my RR idea and give you the module, or actually go for it now?

Sgt. Wright, we can still do some fine-tuning, you'll just have to check for detonation the old-school way: your ears and reading the plugs. The stock O2s/BLMs will still let us tune the fueling end of things. Send me an email and we'll get started again.

And R3D, this site still isn't allowing me to send PMs (I did read yours), so you'll have to email me.

If your car isnt listening for spark knock, and you dont hear any....what will it do to the engine if you keep running with the undetected spark knock?

Will do Solomon. Let me go out to my shop this evening and get it warmed up and get the datalogger files in the email for you. I will also get a detailed list of things that are done with the vehicle again, as well as what has changed since then.

My LT4 KM was in stock at another dealer, but I paid a "premium" for it, bc they have no estimated time of getting more. I paid $80 for it, and it's on the car finally.
