Hey all-
I had another thread about an S/C cam, but it seemed to sort of stray away from the topic. I've gotten a bit closer with cam selection, and need to get something picked out pretty soon. Comp has a couple of off-the-shelf grinds, but neither one is really close to what's been suggested to me.
I've been suggested to look at a 224/236 cam with .565/.565 lift on 114 LSA.
Comp has a 210/224 .576/.570 113 LSA and a 230/236 .570/.565 113 LSA.
Lloyd Elliot suggested like a 210/220 with a pretty small lift (can't remember exactly).
AI suggested like a 236/242 or something crazy on duration.
Thoughts on duration? Lift seems to be a pretty good number at around .560-.580. Thoughts on 113 vs. 114 LSA?
Motor is a forged 383 with -31cc pistons. The heads are AFR 210's (LT4) competition ported with harland-sharp 1.6 roller rockers. The heads start to plateau between .550 and .600 lift, so i figured about a .570 is a good lift number. They can take up to a .700 lift, but with F/I (8-12 PSI on a Procharger F1A) I don't really see the need to push the valvetrain too much. Thanks-
