For starters, I already have an LT4 knock module but my mail order tune was not set up for roller rockers, headers, etc.

Is there anything additional I need to do in the tune to make sure I'm not getting "false knock".

I am picking up some knock here and there, and thinking about throwing in some 111 and see if it goes away. If it does then I know it was real, if not I'll just tune it out.

Next, I am only pulling a max of 80Kpa at WOT, why is this? I thought it would go to 100. Obviously something is causing it to still pull a vacum, how can I start chasing this down?

Then I am getting 40-41 deg of timing shown on the scanner at WOT, when the tune only commands 38 in the 75-80kpa area for that rpm....

The correction Spark Correction vs MAP vs Coolant Temp is zeroed out in the 80deg C row, and the engine was at 82.3C when I was did the log.

I've attached the datamaster log if anyone wants to check it out.

Thanks for any help,

Greg

At our altitude the best you'll see is 80-83KPA. You want to make your afr through your correction tables and make it at our altitude about 12.5-13.0. On your spark fix your tables @ 36 or 38 in 80+KPA range. Your getting other issues in your tune from either constants or other issues in tables that are making the timing go higher. Make sure that with that much timing your are allowing the computer to pull timing through your constants

an LT1 PCM adds something like 2 degrees to your timing value at about 2500, and 4 more degrees at 4500 IIRC. I only run 33 degrees in my tables for 36 degrees as logged in datamaster. I wouldn't run more than 38 degrees total, but you being at high altitude you can probably get away with a few more degrees, this is where the dyno will help you out. Remember it's not a BBC with open chamber heads, you don't need too much advance in these motors.

Thanks for the feedback Wicked. I just finished building a new tune based off of a stock F body tune. Found out that junk PCMFORLESS had B body tables in my tune...

Anyway, here it is if you wanna check it out and make any suggestions. The timing is a lot less aggressive than the old tune, especially around the 75-85 kpa mark. I kind of redid the curve there as my WOT because as 9730thss said, that's all we're gonna get up here...
