I'm looking to purchase a manual steering rack. Any suggestions on the best one to use?

The one from Madman Racing is $ but everyone who uses it loves it. If you have some fab skills you can make you own with parts form Summit and a bump steer kit. Theres some on here that have done it, I'm sure they'll chime in.

i use the madman kit one, it was really easy to install and works great. only problem i have is the wheel rubs if i turn too sharp with the stock 16x8 wheels

i dont like the idea of drilling my spindles out, but thats just me. spohn makes a kit with a cnc'd aluminum end that fits like stock into the spindle. no drilling. thats what ill be going with, check into it!

drilling the spindles out is no big deal, plenty of metal there. just need to make sure you have a really good quality drill bit or it will bend and shatter.

I have heard of people just looping the lines on the stock rack? Is this ok if on a budget?

My car has that on it now. It steers OK if its moving but it's tough moving around in the pits or a parking lot. If your car is a DD I wouldn't do it.

Mines looped now, it's not bad but defiantly a two handed job in the pits even with skinnies up front. As soon as I have some extra $ I'll be getting a manual rack. As it looks now it'll be awhile before I have any extra $!!
