So Im wondering if anyone has tried the P90X system, that you can see on tv late at night.

I just picked it up from a co-worker who gave up on it, because he said it was to difficult, and tried the first disk today for the first time.....WOW!!!!!

ITS HARD!!!!!

Just wanted to see if anyone else has tried it.....

It's a workout and dieting plan.

From what everyone says, it works if you're motivated and stick to the plan, but if not.. don't waste your time.

I simply try to limit bad foods (pop, beer, cookies, ice cream, etc.) and try to take in a lot of protein. Then I hit the gym a couple nights a week for some basic exercises and cardio to cut fat/calories. I need to start lifting but I won't be able to find the time until after Spring Break when one of my courses is done

Well, I do fine with diet. Trying to tone my size, because I want to get bigger and be defined.

I currently do cardio 5-6 days a week, and then go to the gym for weight training 4 days a week (usually after work)

Im gonna take the next 3 months (90 days) and replace the cardio with the P90X, and yes I am dedicated...

I do protien shakes everyday, and through chicken beef and salad, i eat every two hours to consume between 3,000-5,000 calories a day.

I plan on being 285ish by the SHOOTOUT!

Not trying to step on anyone's toes here, but isn't this the issue with ALL dieting/exercising plans....? I mean, you can't half-ass a diet and expect to lose a bunch of weight.

I just eat a lot and work out as much as I can. Trying to stay away from chocolate chip cookies is tough. Trying to hit 260-280 of pure lean Greek muscle by the shootout. Not too far from my goal at the moment.

I got it for free.... Did about 5 weeks straight and haven't touched it since. Haven't had the time since business has really been booming the past month. I should probably be working out instead of reading the boards LOL.

Up your water intake substantially. Try to get 2 gallons a day. Don't go up to that amount right away but work yourself up to it over a period of a month and a half. 3000-5000 calories is a huge difference. For a guy weighing 285, 5000 calories would be a maintanance diet, 3000 would be starving/wasting.

Exactly Im trying to kill the calories. I try to supliment it with shakes (USING UP YOUR MASS righ now) just because , I cant eat that much....

All I eat is grilled chicken, steaks and salads.... NON STOP...

Im realy enjoying my first hour of P90X, and I got it cheap!

If anyone who is interested in it, Im more than willing to ship it to you, and you can duplicate the 11 disks. I have NO IDEA how to do it....

Dont tell the FEDS tho.... lol

I know a guy who hadnt worked out a day in his life. Hes 35, about 5 foot 7 and was a soft 185 pounds when he started. He dropped 25 pounds in about 8 weeks. It works but like everything else you gotta be dedicated. Especially if your older than 30-35 and have a slower metabolism.

Sure. I guess it tends to be pointed out more when you're paying for something.

I'd be interested in trying it as well but my schedule doesn't promote enough time/dedication for it. I just go to the gym when I can and eat as healthy as I can. As a result I'm in decent shape (I'm like 6'1", 160lbs) but I'd really like to start lifting more.

I wonder if I would be more motivated to work out at home. I signed up for the gym and I can never bring myself to go. I mean I know everyone is doing their own thing but still. = /

There are way too many distractions at home to workout effectively. If you can't be bothered to even head to the gym 4 times a week for an hour at a time, then there isn't a lot you can do for your physique. Not hating, just stating the facts.

you could get it for free off utorrent but its like downloading shared music files....alot of people do it but theres always a risk. Its pretty easy to do though

Well I went 5 days a week for 2 hours day all the way to January and I started going last June. I moved from a small town where there may have been like 2-5 other people in the Gym at once and now theres more than 100 people in there at once all in your business idk I think I still need to get used to living in the city.

I dont.... If you already have the utorrent program just go to btjunkie.com and find it. If you download anyhting else DO NOT download anything from Paramount pictures or you will get a courtesy call from your internet provider with a first warning.

The actual proper way to use the p90x system is outlined in the guide, not just one disk after another....

lol, true, but it would have to be a steroid that reduced mass and built lean muscle because its not the HEAVY WEIGHT kinda workouts

just remember, if you download it you still need the instructions as to which disks/programs are for what session or phase of the work out routine.

If anyone needs it, I can photo copy or fax the info to you
