I met up with LS2much on sunday and picked up a spare 4th gen f-body 7.5 ten bolt rear he had laying around for use in building him a true bolt in 9'' for 4th gen fbodys.
First I put the 10 bolt on the stands drained the fluid and removed the differential. I then began to take measurements of all the brackets as well as angles relative to the pinion.

After i had all the measurements I needed I cut the section of housing off that held the the LCA and shock mount brackets to make them easier to work with and remove undamaged. Then I cut off the spring perches and panhard bracket with a wiz wheel as they were much easier to remove while still on the housing.

I got the brackets all cleaned up and removed from the axle tubes in perfect condition, and took them over to the bead blaster to be cleaned up. Next I modified All the brackets for the larger 9'' axle tubes, And began measuring them out and tacking them on the 9'' housing at the proper locations and angles.

Once all the brackets were double checked and verified to be correct, I final welded all of the brackets to the housing.

Now all thats left is to wait on the 9'' housing ends and torque arm bracket.
