Ok, Im a member on a MITSUBISHI MONTERO forum, and I saw this in a thread regarding someone who was looking for a supercharger for their monteros sport.

Could this possibly work?

SERIOUSLY!!!!!

http://www.electricsupercharger.net/product.php

I am more than willing to put out the money to try it, I just want to know if anyone knows for a FACT if it does, or does not work.

It would be cool if it did. It sort of reminds me of those chip things, you can buy on ebay that say 40+ hp increase. I seen these superchargers before, but never looked into them.

dont do it, its the biggest waste of money.. think of it this way... have you ever put your hand over your intake tube or throttle body while idling and then rev'd it up and felt the amount of air that flows through there? now think of having to take that negative amount and pushing enough air to even out and then plus 8 pounds... Thats ALOT OF AIR to move and an electric just cant move that much.

i really think it would be more of an obstruction than a help... when these first came out there were alot of questions about them and if they would work, but its just not worth the waste of money..

but it could probably boost your lawn mower pretty well...haha

Speaking from working for a company that sold these. The supplier made fake accounts on our site and went on to say how hondas and etc were beating corvettes and vipers to boost sales in the review section. I banned the suppliers ip and we began to stop selling them due to the number of returns. IMHO we shouldnt have taken them back since ppl were so stupid to buy them in the first place

We were charging 360 for them almost as bad as the exhuastenator or the tornado. Or the fuel magnet we sold all that shit and people eat it up. Fucking amazes me

Or one of these with a DC-AC power inverter might cost the same with similar results...

They WILL NOT work. Its basically like sticking a leaf blower under your hood.

They cant even compare to a real supercharger. Just buy a CAI, save your money, and call it a day. ;)

lol, it has a cai. just need more umphhhhh

190hp (prob crank)
full exhaust from the cat back
CAI
stock with 4.10s in it
its a DOG

The big tires and the added weight of all the gear I have on it, and it just drags.

It doesnt need to go fast.. Thats why you have a Camaro.

I thought you built it to run shit over? Big tires and a lift? Its not a dragster.

you are so right, but once you have speed, you know that you want EVERYTHING to be fast.

You make pleanty of power to get the job done on the trails. One of my cousins has a jeep grand cherokee with just a CAI and full exhaust, lift, and tires... And he goes through anything. He has another custom built rock crawler with a 4.0L jeep engine and that thing is an even bigger monster. Both are basically stock engines.

You dont need 500 horse power to go out on the trails.

Hey Popo, there have been tests on this toy. They are sold on E-bay also for cheaper. Think of strapping a 12 volt hairdryer to your engine and a piece of dryer vent hose to your intake. Yes, it may well flow 1000 cfm as some have advertised but that would be at zero outlet restriction. There would be almost no flow trying to push 8 psi. or 2 psi or 1. It looks like it would fit real well on a Honda Civic though and give them bragging rights. "I got this bitchin' turbo.....Dude."

dude, buy a leaf blower and hook it up. You would have similar results for less bucks.. LOL.
May fav part of the FAQ:

What is your supercharger made out of?
We use high tensile materials to ensure proper durability. Our products have never failed under any testing condition.

And thsese materials are?!?!? Frozen Dog Shit?

TURBO WHISTLER WORKS ON ALL CARS!

The best part about our turbo whistler is that it only takes seconds to attach. No welding or drilling needed. You can easily detach the exhaust whistler (http://\"http://\\"http://www.turbowhistler.net/exhaust-whistler/index.htm\\"\") and hear the turbo sound on all your friend's cars!
The turbo whistler measures about 3\\" long and is made of lightweight aluminum.
\\"I love my Turbo Whistler! Perfect Honda Civic turbo sound (http://\"http://\\"http://www.turbowhistler.net/turbo-sound/index.htm\\"\"). I also tried it on all my friend's cars!\\"

\\"After revving my car with the Turbo Whistler (http://\"http://\\"http://www.turbowhistler.net/turbo-whistler/index.htm\\"\"), my friends were curious what I had under my hood!\\"

- Chris Peterson

\\"I drive a cheap Honda Accord, but the Turbo Whistler makes it sound like I have a supercharger (http://\"http://\\"http://www.turbowhistler.net/supercharger/index.htm\\"\") now!\\"

In about 2002 TAKARIA (or somthing like that ) was making a box that hooked to a vacuum line and played a sound through speakers you mounted under your hood. IIRC it was like 150+ bucks.. they seem to be gone now...
