trying to get vid off SONY DVD camera

Anyone familiar with the SONY DVD camcorders? I'm trying to download off it. There website says the software and drivers are on XP already. I can hook the camera up, and the comp sees it as a mass storage device, but I'm stuck at that point. I go into my computer, and double click the F: drive I think it is, and nothing comes up.
Anyone familiar with these cameras?
I'm gonna keep at it.........

I've never worked on the Sony DVD camcorders. I would have to see it in person. If it is seeing it as a mass storage drive, you should be able to go into it, in "My Computer" and then browse the folder.

I have no clue what else to do, sorry :(
