No seriously, lol, I hear everyone sometimes talk about their "cool" phone.

Well, mine is so cool, it's, cloth corded!

haha.. Yea, for real, I do use that phone actually.. 1940's.. I use it, only because, it's never broke, it's amazingly clear to hear (and people say i sound clear through it too, even though it's an old carbon microphone), and the ringer, oh well, the ringer is so loud, it can wake the neighbor (if i set it to high).

I even went so far, as to polish the bells (which got me sick for a week, musta inhaled some bad brass stuff or something).

So yea, I got a cool phone too (well, it was cool back in the 40's, but i think it's still interesting to use even today).

My land line isn't technically a landline.

It's VoIP.

Also doesn't have Z. ;)

Back when the letters were used for the exchange (which believe it or not, exchange are still used, and the format of phone number is the same, you just gotta know how it's read..)

the number card in the dial is a reprint i did, which shows my true number in the old format.. just lacking an area code..

I forget the meaning, but it shows the phones true age.

The nice thing about those phones is that they require no power. So in the result of a power outage, they will still work. Very worth it to have 1.

In my case it's connected to VoIP, and normally that wouldn't be true, because it requires the VoIP equipment to be running on power.

But I got battery backup UPS. ;)
