S&W 8pt, door bars needed some bending but otherwise the jig notching made it pretty straight forward.

S&W here with Wolf Racecraft door bars. Wasn't able to get the S&W door bars to fit how I liked so I order the Wolf bars seperatly.

Looks awesome, what was it about the S&W door bars that you didn't like? Was it because they are straight, and not low-slung like the Wolfes?

Yep. I was going to have to bring the bottom end of the S&W door bars in too much to clear the door panel. I bought the S&W kit on sale at the time for 149.00 and the Wolf door bars were 90.00 shipped.

Rattle can. Just put a fresh coat on before the new carpet install.

How much you guys been spending on a 6 or 8 pt with swing out door bars on both sides??? I'd like to have my cage done prior to the shootout and should be able to swing it depending on price.

Like n2ocamaro I got mine whan they had their $149.00 sale final price was like $190.00 shipped. I live minutes away from Larson Race Cars (chassis shop) and had my door bars bent for $40.00. He made two bends to clear the seats and stock door panels and then made a turn down at the floor plate so I was welding a circle to the plate not the angle cut tube. It was crazy he took two or three measurements with his tape measure, made two chalk marks on one bar then made his bends, one opposite from the other. Both fit perfect the first try! I installed it all myself. If I would have had someone else put it in I would have paid the extra $ for chromoly.
I have always figured it's between $80 and $100 a point to have a roll bar installed, so $600-800 bucks.
FWIW 6-8 pt is a roll bar, 10 & up is a cage. Once you get the "halo" or bar that goes above your head along the top of the windshield and the down bars at the a-pillar you have a cage!

I'm ashamed to say I kinda forgot I made this thread.....damn alcohol. All the cages look good. I don't think I'll need more than a 6 pt and I'm still debating whether or not I should put one in the car. I guess I'll have to wait and see how fast she goes when I make it to track day.

At my local track it's 10.99 or faster for a cage, but after doing reading, its 11.49 in the NHRA isn't it?

11.49 and faster requires a roll bar, 9.99 and faster requires a cage.

Im planning on putting a white 4 point in mine with the ability to add the side bars later (if I chose to)
However if you wanna know how it will look in your car, do like I did in my 92. Make one outta PVC, cover it with NERF, no one will know the dif unless they touch it...hahaha, its true, I did it.
