im picking up some new wheels but dont have money for new tires at the moment. will i be able to run a 255 tire on an 11 inch wheel??

Their going to be really stretched...i dont think youll be able to get the bead to seat, so im going to say no. Id wait till you can get tires.

NO! I have a 255/40R17 on my 9.5's now and they look stretched on them. I wouldn't even try to put them on a 11" rim.

nope. A 255 width tire is reccommended for a 8 to 9.5 inch wide rim. Most 255 tires are just a about 10 inches wide, with tread widths under that.

Lol don't even attempt to try that . VERY unsafe and will look like complete shit . Best Advice I can give is do it right the first time and buy the right size tires . 315 is the best Size for 11" wheels btw . :)

The bead will not seat the way it should. i would not do it for 2 reasons
1.. unsafe to have on a rim that size
2.. it will not look proper
