I would reccommend the Strano springs, and an adjustable shock such as a koni or kyb. Theres alot of combos to choose from. Are you doing more of a track/ handling car or a strip car?

maybe you should post up your price range. given unlimited budget, people will tell you exactly what to get for the perfect drop/ride, however its gonna be costly!!!!

I have the eibachs with the 2" drop....
KYB AGX 8 way adgustables up front...
Stock in the rear, however I added heater hose to the bottom coil, and left the rubber isolater in the top.
I also removed the large spacers at the bottom of the rear shox
and an adjustable pan-hard bar is a must.

Koni shocks, and strano springs. Exspensive, but worth the money.

If those are out of your budget, go with bmr or eibach pro kit. for lowering springs, and kyb for shocks.

LCA's vary anywhere between $100-300, depending on what type of LCA you go with. (non-adj, adj. etc.) UMI and BMR are good companies to go with.

i actually got a set of LS1 Eibach's on my car.(got the springs given to me for a trade) The front dropped a bit more than advertized due to the 100+ more lbs of LT1 under the hood. I did call Eibach tech support first and they said it woud be fine. The front Shocks are KYB's the rears are stock replacements. I had to trim the top coil of the rear spring about 1.5 inches and remove the isolators. I wrapped the top coil with heater hose. Car sits fine and my 315's dont rub (had to roll the lip slightly) I got my non adj LCA's from UMI as well as relocation brackets. Also got an "on car" adjustible Pan Hard from them. Great product and a great price.
http://www.umiperformance.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7_138_97&products_id=346 <-- Panhard and LCA "KIT", Brackets are between 60 and 90 bucks depending on weld on or bolt on

The panhard and LCA relocation brackets are definatly reccommended on a lowered vehicle.

All that being said, it handls better (also have SFC's and a STB) but could be better. I am gonna replace the stock front and rear sway bars soon. It DOES NOT hook better than it did at stock height, I guess it all depends what you are going for and your budget.

I have UMI under my car, but BMR also sells a kit with the items mentioned above:

I seem to recall a whole thread discussing it a while back (probably on LS1tech). Seems to be a good option.

wow...thanks alot guys.

i think im gonna go with the strano springs and KYB shocks. all of yall seemed to mentioned them and say it was the best. i dont really have a price range...just not TOO expensive and not cheap. lol. i clicked the links and the prices dont seem bad at all. and its more track/street. dont plan on making it a drag car. lol

oh yeah, the LCA and panhard kit doesnt come with the brackets? so i would have to purchase that seperatly? and whats SFC and STB? lol

again, thanks a lot guys. really appreciate it

I'd also recommend Strano springs, there are many choices out there and not all springs are created equal as far as ride quality, height and spring rate. You may not get a full 1.5 drop out of them as they are advertised at 1.25 and that is the amount my car was lowered after installing them. Keep in mind that generally the lower you go the ride quality decreases due to less suspension travel, so depending on how the roads are in your area that could change your decision.

Give Sam Strano a call if you plan to order his springs and he will help you with your setup based on your intentions for the car.

BTW Sam also has Koni's on sale right now, they are still more expensive than KYB shocks but are really good shocks.

Definately go with Koni or QA1. You should also check out ground-control.com.. They sell adjustable ride height spring setups, made by eibach, for most shocks. I have them on my Koni Sports (single adjustable), set up for road racing/autocross/handling. They will custom make any spring rate for what ever you want to do with the car. I wish i had a more drag racing oriented rate, but for handling, this suspension is about as good as it gets(rest of suspension is all tubular, and 7 pt moly cage). Its stiff, but would fly on a road track.

Maybe Afco shocks too.. Expensive, but many of the fastest cars use them. If you just have a ton to spend on a car you want to handle, I might try one of the newer Air Ride suspensions. Adjustabale height, and on the video I saw of the install, it made a stock 96 WS6 suspension look like 95 suburban in the slalom they used for comparison...

I say go with H&R springs with Bilstein shocks but I'm also the only one you'll here that from . Gave me a 1.5 in drop, they're a little stiff for some to DD but I don't really mind it.
