Yup. I did the email option, and bought a cable. $65 for the tune and $55 for the cable was all it cost. 3 free re-tunes come with the tuning, and you would also be able to monitor what the car is doing via Freescan or similar software.

Yea that episode was actually REALLY embarissing for the import crowd. I dunno what kinda times the dude was running in the bird, but that honda was just TERRIBLE.

But back on topic...The ALDL cable (for 94-95 models) I purchased came with about 10 different pieces of software for reading codes, programming the PCM, and monitoring sensors. This method is great if you have a laptop to record your driving, and then send Solomon the files to fine tune it after the base tune.

Anyone use the dataloging software that comes with Innovates XD16?

I used that Lt1pcmtuning and they had my tune way off he had 39degrees of timing in my PCM for N2O and it was way lean.

^Did he send you the wrong one?
Did you give him the wrong info?
You know you get 3 free retunes and im sure for somthing like that he should retune it without using one of those 3.

Which Jay is this? I don't remember ever hearing from you about this. Did you ever email me?

You have to remove timing for nitrous with an external retard module, you don't do it in the PCM or else you'll lose power when you're N/A. And by "way lean" what do you mean? All the time, at WOT, etc.? Did you have a wideband measurement or some other way of thinking you are lean?

Yep, I just joined, I saw this thread as a referer to my site. If you're on this site, do you have email? That's the quickest way to get ahold of me, especially during the week. Why do you say I have no time for phone calls? Are you referring to me not having a business phone since this isn't my day job?

To the other posters in the thread, thanks for the kind words! I'm glad to hear you're all happy with the tune. Sgt., I've been waiting to hear back from you with some data-logging.

Also, for the record, in all my order fulfillment emails, I make a point of saying to please let me know if there are any issues with the tune, as I want you to be completely satisfied with it. When I don't hear from people, I have no way of knowing there's an issue.

Well I e-mailed you a while ago, I really did want to get a tune from you and wanted to talk on the phone.

I am very weird about things before I do it, I always want to at least talk to someone before going through with a purchase or something.

You told me you were too busy that week that week (or somthing I do not remember the exact words) then never got around too it either many things have came up.

I still do want a tune from you tho.

Solomon, I love your tune man, but I have to admit, the shift points didnt help me in the snow yesterday:laugh:

Naw, I'm just kidding, everything seems great. I just need to fix my header gasket leak and put in my LT4KM then I'll start the datalog process to get the tunes going. I didn't want to even get anything beyond the baseline until I get a weekend to work on it.

I did however change the idle (with Tunerpro). Maybe it's the header gasket leak, but the idle in neutral, goes up when it enters closed loop. That is the only real thing i changed, but it didn't help in closed loop...just open loop.

Joker, I understand, some people prefer to talk on the phone. That may have been a time I was out of town. You are of course welcome to talk to me before ordering anytime, just send me an email. It's still the same person. :)

Sgt, exhaust leaks will cause lots of problems, including high idles and running too rich. I'd fix that ASAP, or else you'll probably foul the plugs and O2 sensors. If it's running rich enough from that, it could even conceivably wash the cylinder walls of oil.

I also just saw Jay's post with dyno graph. It does look too lean. Since I don't know which Jay it is, I can't say for sure, but he may need bigger than 30# injectors depending on the cam, as well as a higher-flowing fuel pump. Either that or there's an intake leak letting in unmetered air. The tune is set for low 13's AFR at WOT, so something is up with the car.

Sorry Joker, but the site won't let me send PMs since I'm new and don't have many posts yet. Also, I guess there was a misunderstanding again (sorry about that), but as I mentioned above I don't have a business phone line. If you really need to talk on the phone, you can PM me your phone # and your name (I assume it isn't Joker! hah), and I'll give you a call.

To the OP, sorry for pulling this thread OT! But again, please get in touch with me if you have questions/issues with the tune, like I had requested in that original email you got when I shipped back the PCM. Thanks!

Just an update about the person who said he had a tune from me. I have no record of anyone named Jay with his mods as one of my tuning customers. So maybe he's confusing me with someone else.

It didn't sound like it, but who knows.
