I'll Start First.

CC306

Every LT1 guy from the late 90s knows that little grind called the CC306, I remember the days before, LE or Ai or who ever, that was the big daddy cam if you wanted to make some power with your Hooker Long Tubes. Gotta keep in mind these were the days no one really ran the long tube headers unless they had a serious set up. Most every thing had shorties back then and the weak of heart always went with a Hot cam or CC305. But any case one call to Internet Race Supply and you had just about the only cam out there that could crack 400rwhp in a h/c six speed car and the cam every one ran in just about any stroker combination possible. Better stuff is out there now, yes, but I remember how awesome that cam always sounded in just about any exhaust set up. Was a really great nitrous cam too, I know a few folks on here knew some folks spraying the house down with that cam. Lets not also forget Chris B knocking down low 11s with that cam and GTP heads.

I used that cam in my first stroker way back when. It went 10.90's on a 150 shot 10 years ago.:D Was and still is a good cam choice for many. Internet Racers Supply was the place to call at that time.

The only header available when I bought my car was the Edlebrock shorties. Crappy design, always had leaks, power gain was minimal. Soon after AS&M and BBK came out with there 1 3/4" shorties which was a step up from the Edlebrock 1 5/8" shorties. As soon as the Hooker LT's became available guys where knocking down 10's.

Around that same time frame GTP (Craig Gallant) pushed into the LT world with his head packages that really put the LT's on the map. MTI and LG Motorsports were doing some of the first stroker packages and people then saw the potential of the LT engine.

That cam is sitting in the motor I pulled out of the car over the winter and like tony it went 10.9 but with a little more juice and a bad tranny. It cills me that there are all those cc306 haters out there now.
