View Full Version : Does this need wet-sand/polish or repaint??

I bought the car this way, and it's the only major flaw in the paint on the car.. I really don't understand why/how this happened to just the spoiler, but whatever. I want to know how exactly to fix it. I'm thinking a proper wetsand and polish and maybe even clearcoat could fix it, but then again it might need new paint. What would you guys advise?

Thats common on spoilers, you can still cut and buff just be gentle

Yeah, start easy and work into more cutting power as necessary. Doesn't look too terrible though.

Just by looking at the pics you should be fine just buffing it. People are scared of buffing a car, when it's the wet sanding that you should be concerned with. Your not gonna f$^k up buffing a car unless you hold it too long in one spot. Be gentle wet sanding, thats the key. If you have never used a buffer before, just remember, dont stay too long in one place. Unless you have a deep scratch, it will buff out.
