New car= new grudge match come spring!

I have a 1996 Pontiac Firebird Formula with an intake and fresh plug wires and otherwise stock. It has the M6 with 3.42 gears. My cousin has a 2007 mustang GT premium (basically an appearance package), completely stock with borla mufflers and a 5 speed. What one do you think would win in the quarter mile both with equal drivers?

hmmm, you car is about a 13.8 ish car, the Mustang is about the same. I say it is a drivers race.

Budy of mine has an 06 mustang , just did the full conversion on the car to make it look the the SHELLBY!... Im not a ford guy, but damn it looks GREAT!!!!

He is picking up his Procharger tonight and expecting like 500 to the wheels.... with 12 to 15 pounds of boost.

The MPH should be higher. Thats the same trap speed C&D got in the January 2005 issue.

well we did some messin around tonight, first real cruise, and on a completely abandoned back stretch of road no cars for about 2 miles in the distance, i dropped it down to second at 50 mph and passed the car in front with the stang following up behind, got into the right lane and held it down, all through 3rd gearat 5500 rpm i was ahead, he wasnt really pulling me til like 110 or so, and through 4th at 5500RPM he started to pick up some distance and eventually creeped past me up to a car at least, went to go into 5th tried twice thought i got it let clutch out and it was in 3rd gear yikes lol jammed clutch back in a split second and slowed it down to normal speeds after that, i tapped the rev limiter : (. im still a bit rusty. but anyway should i be disappointed? i mean i know the msdutangs will pull harder in the top end area
s but i held him off okay til i shifted into 4th til about halfway through. i dont know how fast we went but i bet my headlights were adding a lot of drag at the speed lol.
