anyone here into death metal?

i've been doing a massive study into different genres and found it interesting that death metal has more to do with classical music than no other genre, and have even seen death metal played on a piano back into classical form with the original song completely intact, and classical turned into death metal..

any reccomendations for death metal bands? obviously since i watch adult swim, i've seen deathklok (of which listening to right now)..

Just to name a few.

The term "death metal" gets thrown around too easily. Most of the time people use it to describe shitty hardcore, emo, screamo, punk or hard rock bands.

Well, I wouldn't take everything you read on metal-archives entirely seriously. I'd classify them more as humorous cartoon metal.

Well from what I hear on the album releases, it sounds good though..

Psh, I did say just to name a few. I'm actually not a huge Death fan, but I enjoy me some Spiritual Healing every now and then.
