View Full Version : Thinking about quiting my job.

Only reason is so I can go to school (auto) and get into the field of auto mechanics. Can't do it with my current job hours. If I quit then I can live off of my retirerment until I'm able to get into something auto related. I can work part time if I have to but it may be a big risk. I own all of my cars so missing payments won't be a prob. I do pay morgage on my house and of course all of the regular bills (gas, electric, water). IDK? I've worked on cars for as long as I can remember so I'd like to get paid doing what I love. I did attend a school for auto mechanic when my first child was born but I had to quit to be a full time dad so I got a job and I was working a lot of hours and I couldn't attend school too. I 've thought about this for the last few years but like I said before it would be a risk.

personally i think you should wait until the economy gets straightened out before quiting. If things for some reason get bad, it will be hard to find another job to get everything caught up. If the economy was good id say go for it.

Not only that, but doing something for a hobby is alot different than doin it for a job. Keep that in mind. I've been there an done that.

I know that's a little crazy but I'm just getting tired of the same ol thang!! I wanna do something that I enjoy. I love working on cars and If I had the $$ I'd have plenty of projects. Sometimes if you take the risk you get everything want or you lose everything you have. It's just my job has been getting to me. I'm too family oriented and I more than likly will not just quit and try to get by with a part time job till I'm out of school. I have quite a bit of knowledge when it comes to cars and I thought it would be nice to get paid to do that. It's a good thing that I'm not a young buck anymore or I'd prolly DO and THINK later. Still in my head though!???
