About 36 hours before my laptop crapped out I felt like splurging. Had I known my laptop was going to crap out I would've held off, but oh well.

Gonna pick up the y-pipe, gaskets, etc. in another month or so and try to squeeze time in to put them on over "Spring Break"

You have to let them drop your bank account first. :(

Good choice, Pacesetter makes some good stuff.
Had a set on the TA, and plan to have a set on the Firehawk very soon. You might see a similar thread in, oh say, a month or two (To the same tune too, Pacesetters with the Race/Armor coat). :D

I think its $375 for the Coated Pacesetters (Both Air + EGR and Race versions) most places.
Something like $125 for the 3" Y pipe. Someone correct me if I am wrong?

I had those same ones on my Formula. I loved 'em. I was going to keep the stock exhaust but then said f*** it since there was a SLP LM2 exhaust system right on the shelf at the shop I worked at.

Thanks! When I bought my car the previous owner had put on uncoated ones. Im thinking about upgrading and I really want to delete the air and egr.

I'm going to have to be really careful until I change out the suspension to a less aggressive drop. But for as much as I drive the car I should be okay.

I paid $359 shipped. I've got a custom ORY a friend used on his pacesetter setup lined up for $80.
I'm expecting to spend ~$200 on locking bolts, gaskets, o2 extensions, and ORY

You can make a o2 extensions pretty easily. Might save you a few bucks that way.

I've found a decent price on a set. Just waiting a bit since my bank account took a $1400 hit this week (rent, headers, and a new laptop) and I don't plan on installing the headers till March.

Hey O.P. if the car has a few miles on it, it would be a good idea to invest in some poly motor mounts as well.

Good luck on the install. It was a fucking bitch getting them in on SoulReaver's SS. We aren't noobs by any means and it took some finagling to get them in. I think we had to disconnect the steering knuckle to get the driver side in, so keep that in mind if you are having an issue at that spot.

Did you unbolt the motor?

I used new poly mounts when I installed my pacesetter LT's. No problems for me, but I guess I could be lucky, idk.

PM me a price but I'm most likely going with 24" to play it safe. I've heard some people have been able to make 12" work, some haven't. I'd rather zip-tie up some slack then have to buy another set of o2 extensions.

My Pacesetters are the same, but mine are not all shiney anymore. There is some rust starting to form at the collector area. They were still a good investment and last a lot longer than non coated.
Like Russ said, the steering knuckle will have to go. Be sure to lock your steering wheel first. I also took out the starter on the pass side. It was still tight. I had the car all the way up on the jackstands as far as they would go. I didnt have my lift at that time, D'OH! I too am lowered but only 1.5 inches. I still cant go over speed bumps and i am careful on driveway entrances, etc. The Y-pipe has like no ground clearance and is worse when the cats are in the pipe.

IIRC all you had to do to solve this was reposition the Y pipe a little bit. No big deal.
My 99 TA had the Pacesetters on it and they hit the floorboard right after I installed them. Found out it was the Y pipe, and it just needed to be repositioned. Was fine for as long as I had the car after that, even on WOT runs.

i didnt remove the starter, but i did have to disconnect the steering knuckle. i will say the pass side was a BITCH to get in. i dont scrape, but i bet i will when i get the prokit in...

An engine hoist chain and a bolt will be your best friend installing headers. I do mine alone in about 30 min by unbloting the motor mounts.

That's a interesting idea. I have a couple friends I'm talking with about being available for a weekend to help me though. What all still has to come off? Alternator, Starter, Oil Filter? etc. Do you have LPP's?
My dad has a cherry picker at his house.

Yeah I have LPPs wich are alot bigger and harder to put in. Prob the starter and alt and maybe oil cooler have to come off. I didnt even pull my plugs or wire last time. Becareful of the water temp sensor undr the DS header. Just lift one side of the motor at a time and youll have tons of room, you can do it without unboltng the motor mounts but it just makes things so easy.

Good choice! I put a set of the non jet coat full race Pacesetters w/ the ORY. I love them. Woke the old bird up pretty good.
