I swear, my car has had EVERYTHING wrong with it, except cracked block..

Today, car ran fine, went to work nice and early. At days end, car won't start. Dead battery. Wtf, that battery has NEVER failed me. No lights were on, everything was off.

Never seen cells just die like that in 6 hours.

Story of my life man. I have a 6 disk cd changer in my T/A. If it isnt started once a week, the battery will be dead. I finally cut the wires on the cd changer to avoid keeping it on life support.

You obviously have a parasitic drain. Or a really shitty battery. Lights dont need to be on.

It just started out of nowhere today.. Can the battery just up and die in only 6 hours like that? It's worked great for 4 years no problems till today.

Shit happens..

I had a LT1 caprice with 225K miles on it come in for an oil change today... It was literally dumping oil out of the bottom, EVERYWHERE! Now whe had some problems.... A battery and a cracked coolant line isnt much.

Battery and hoses are wear & tear, and are easy repairs. Could be worse.

Edit: lol ^^^we posted at the same time, pretty much saying the same thing

Man it's always something, may as well get used to it, thats life. Fix window switch, door handle breaks, fix door handle, window motor goes out, fix window motor, wife leaves you for spending too much time on your car, etc.....

I'm going to go to a mechanic because I am swamped today and need the flow reducer part of the hose repaired..

How much should it cost if it's a decent mechanic? My regular mechanic is closed.

not sure on your ?, but shouldnt be too bad. a hose in my book is a easy job.

also, with cars, sometimes you need to take a step back and relax. sometimes you can get all frustrated and not realize that hey, things wear and just wasn't the greatest timing for it to happen. but these things rarely happen when you would like them to. not saying you aren't doing it, but always remember preventive maintaince is key.

and to chevymec, u trying to tell me my car is falling apart cuz it is a 94? lol just kidding man. i know what your telling em, i just had to raz ya.

They charged $140, but didn't install the flow reducer, just the entire hose. I told them I wanted a flow reducer because I didn't want my heater core possibly blowing in the dash, causing all sorts of mayhem.. He said he'll order it and cover the charge of the reducer since the estimate was already performed..

Surprised the labor charge was so low, because that included new hose, and anti-freeze... Decent price.

Anyways, I'm really tight on money, and REALLY trying to save up for a camaro, but I keep loosing money on repairs for this car and bills..

Fuck this shit.

It's already LEAKING from the new hose, at the firewall end now.. Damn mechanics can't do SHIT for a repair. First they forget the flow reducer, now it's BURSTING from the firewall. Hissing, and drip drip drip all over my wires.. I feel they owe a partial refund for my troubles.
