Today in one of my courses (first day of Spring Semester) we spent a good deal of time talking about expecations for our "ideal job"

That being said, on a scale of 1-10 how much do you enjoy my job.

Personally, I love my job. I feel it doesn't challenge me enough, but I feel it's a pretty laid back enviornment, I enjoy my co-workers, and it's a great resume builder. I feel I could make more, but I understand that as a student I'm going to be taken advantage of pay-wise, especially the way our economy is currently.

I'll be asking for a raise upon my return from my summer internship, though if they don't give it to me I still plan on working there next year.

Overall I cant complain. I am my own boss in the summer with my detailing gig and in the winter I work at an oil change place and do oil changes and sell people stuff. Very easy work and theres decent money in it between commision and bonuses. I work with a bunch of laid back managers and great employees. 9/10 for me.

I can't complain. I work for my parents as a dispatcher/accountant/web designer. The pay is good for my age and I get lots of free time, and I'm helping my parents at the same time. It's not what I plan on doing for the rest of my life but it'll get me through college.

I have dreamed of becoming a pilot since I was a little kid. As I grew up and understood what all it entailed, I wanted it even more. I first joined the Air Force as a in flight refueler and got all my requirements to become a USAF pilot candidate. I was lucky enough to get choosen, so "HELL YA I LOVE MY JOB!".

Just a mechanic here..

I love my job though, I couldent see myself doing anything else at all. Sitting is boring. Talking on the phone is boring. Fixing/Modding/Creating things is where its at. I would have given it a 5 or 6 if I was still at the dealership, as I loved my job but not the people I worked for/the pay.

Currently I run my own shop, plow for myself in the winter and do some metal (Used Cats/02s/Used tires off junk cars/Wheels/Anything I can truck with the 350) recycling on the side. Just recently started getting into stripping cars at a friends junkyard for a small online parts sales business also (Fenders/Headlights/Mirrors/ect..) which should be going pretty soon.

well, i sell auto parts.
i enjoy the job, i dont always enjoy the customers though. especially when i'm told by some chovanistic assholes that i dont know how to do my job. that being said, it makes it all the more rewarding when i find a part for someone and they think i'm gods gift to lordco! i like how every day i learn something new about vehicles, and the perks of working for lordco are pretty cool. theres lots of counter incentives, like free trips to nascar events or skiing, fishing, hockey games, etc..and gift cards to whereever. my coworkers at the moment though, are pissing me off more and more every day...

i like my job, but its not what i feel is my place, it can be challenging, but not always.

i work at our local ace hardware in the yard. the discount is hard to walk away from though, its defiantly a great perk. someday i will have to leave that job, after serving me for almost 4 years at this point. gonna miss the people and the differn't job sites i get to go to.

I miss my old job a lot. The new one is a quasi-partnership and can be a big PIA sometimes. I love the industry I am in (Solar Energy) and hope to stay in it for a long time
I voted a 7 for now. I am happy, but it could be better somedays..

My main job as a KC-10 In-Flight Refueler (same job that CALL911 used to do), was a 100 out of 10. Current "staff job" that I'm in at HQ is the suck anymore.

My dad has a buddy in the local Chevelle club that has a son that does that. He's missing one hand or something like that and does pretty well for himself. He also can back a trailer on a dime.

That sounds like a thrill rush

I've been helping the campus Network team with Tech Support this past week since everyone's moved back up. Our students are great. I watched someone tell a kid in person that his hard drive was toast and there was no way to get the data off and that he needed to go buy a new hard drive and he was very understanding. We've been troubleshooting a good 200 support tickets a day in a 8 person team in about 5-6 hours. Granted It's not my usual job so I'm sure I don't see things the way the Help Desk Staff does.

I'm a deputy, I like the job and I could'nt see myself doing anything else. I voted 8 because the pay isn't that great for everything you have to put up with, not to mention high blood pressure.
