View Full Version : LPP headers and factory cat-back . . ?

Alright so it's gonna be 2 weeks until my gmmg gets here and I'm putting my headers on this weekend. Sooo . . . would there be anyway to hook my 3" y-pipe up the factory exhaust just get me by . . .

they make adapters... or you can run open y for 2 weeks. up to you.

ya you would need an adapter. Your local muffler shop can make one for you, if you dont find any at your auto parts store.

I would just buy a cheap glasspack and stick on the end of there until the gmmg comes in.

Theres no fun in that. Besides dont you know headers and exhaust increase MPG. He's making a better DD:D

Here's an interesting idea ... maybe hold off on the LPP install until the GMMG arrives?

Truthfully thats what I would have done. Sound like he already started though. Ive had mine for about a month now but im waitng untill I do the top end. Not worth doing it twice.

Well it's not my DD but I live in the midwest and i don't have a garage and I wanna get this done before the cold weather hits and I have to cover the car. I also wanna be able to play with it a little bit before the snow hits, thats why i'm concerned about the cat-back. I'm installing the headers next week, i took the week off to do it among other things (my water pump is toast) i just didn't expect the cat-back to take that long to get here

anywho. . . . thats why i can't wait
