This is what happens to lt1s and 8 psi











I was disassembling the rod/pistons/rings from my old rotating assembly and this is what I found. I think my car got hungry?-Zach-

Yeah, those hyperucraptic pistons don't last too long under boost. The ringlands just cant handle it.

The car had the blower on for maybe 3k miles at most. The engine had 30k miles... I can't believe I was driving around with the pistons in that condition.

I just linked this page to someone that was asking about FI on a stock motor!!! Im sure this will help make up his mind onthe right thing to do.

Interestingly enough, my car had been boosted at 8psi for just short of 50k miles before rebuild. It was very rarely opened up though, which seems like it would explain the longevity. lol
