LT4 78mm Turbo corvette build (few vids too)
Hey guys,
I am mainly in the COrvette Forum in the FI section but wanted to share my setup here as I just got it finished not too long ago and have finally gotten to where I can turn the wick up a bit. currently I am running between 21-23 psi.
the build:
355 Eagle crank/rod forged low compression custom Ross Pistons with L-19 rod bolt upgrade and tapered tool steel piston pins
stage 3 ported trickflow heads runner volume is 220cc's
Edelbrock LT4 intake.. unported as of right now (was ina rush to finish up, I will port it soon)
58mm throttle body
224 224 .570/.570 115lsa cam
AFR Hydrarev kit
cadillac racing lifters
Comp Promag 1.6's
Stainless steel custom manifolds with 2.5" crossover and 3.5" downpipe (Custom fabbed by me)
Precision PT 78 HPS turbocharger
Tial 44mm wastegate (big and Little blue springs installed)
83lb/hr injectors soon to be 160's
Fuelab 42401 pump (1500hp rated)
all custom rails with -10 feed and -8 return
Aeromotive A1000 Regulator
4" intercooler with 3" intercooler piping (aluminum custom Fabbed by me)
MSD 6a
Accel DFI Gen 7 Pro Key w/ DUal Synch Distributor and Wideband
No Lift to Shift Box
315 Nitto Drag Radials (useless in anything besides 4th gear at current boost level)
I am sure there is more but I forget right now! lol
Anyways, here are some pictures, videos and Log files of the WOTBox no lift to shift function. disregard the 3 degrees of knock retard it is false knock from the WOTBox shift.. happens only after a wide open throttle shift.. need to turn the knock sensor off and try it out with some timing.. in this graph it was at 17* advance with the 3 degree retard happening through all of fourth gear.
Enjoy Guys!
Chris

Pictures of the setup:

Log file of a 3rd and 4th gear run using the "No Lift to Shift box.. nbotice boost only dips a smideg and the TPS stays pegged.. this feels so confidence inspiring.. I highly recommend you guys with manual tranny's and boost pick one up.. it will shave a few 10ths from your ET's..

More info in the NLTS box please. The log looks as if the car leans out considerably during the shift plus it's trying to add fuel to correct the lean condition. Maybe this is OK since the load is lessened I'm just not sure.
Can you give some more details on how the box works maybe that will help me understand what the car is doing during the shift on the log.
Very nice set up, BTW!Brandon

it goes lean becaue there is no spark during that period so the fuel isn't combusted and the air leaves the cylinders raw and unburned so this causes a lean condition but not one which could possibly hurt the motor since there is not ignition nothing burns and therefore nothing is harmed...

the website is below. it works great, I am doing the installation instructions for them for a free unit on LT1 corvettes. I am not sure if F-bodies have the same pinouts, I would imagine so.
you can read about how it works here, and I can tell you now from personal experience this product will probably gain a high powered manual transmission car more ET then any other mod if it is turbocharged.. not sure what advantages there are for a blower car except the fact that the shifts are MUCH easier to accomplish and it will produce less pressure spike on the blower impeller during shifts then letting off the gas. also easier on the synchros in the transmission!
