There might be a decent package rolling around that's forged. ... might ask @96LT1355Z28.

Most people piece stuff together but there might be one. Josh can hook you up. Bought a dozen orders from him and he beats most everyone.

@94ndta, while I see that BDB has been tagged, perhaps if you need some additional options, I may be able to help.

I am a SCAT dealer and they have some really great fully forged rotating assemblies. I have a few for NA motors on my website you could take a look at.
But we could certainly build you a kit to meet your needs. We will be adding more of their products to the website little by little.

Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any assistance at all.

I have also had great experiences with both of the sponsors mentioned. They have beat the S****tRacing prices every time, and I have received my items FAST!

Looking forward to following this build.

So it's looking like a rebuild kit is going to run around $2000, wether I piece it together or buy a kit.
machined block will probably be $500?
    new cam $300
    New gasket set $150
    new converter $900
    new rear end $1500-$2000
    supercharger $2000-$4000
    injectors $500
    fuel pump $200

    proper tune $500

    Anything i I am Missing?

damn, this is adding up fast. I suppose I could do the rebuild when the time comes and save up for a new rear end, converter, and supercharger. My fuel system would support a stroker.
1994 Trans Am GT, stock 28k mi bottom end LE2 H/C/I , 1.6rr, LT4 KM, moroso cai, jet hot lts, hooker y-pipe, slp powerflo, 37# inj, 255 pump, built 4l60e, 2800 stall, spohn/hotchkis/qa1 suspension etc etc.

500-550 would probably be fine with a Vette block and stock fasteners assuming you keep the cam small and revs down. Would be nicer to drive anyway. You open up an expensive can of worms otherwise... New bolts/studs means a line hone which is usually $200 + hardware OR you could spend $350~ for a 4-bolt conversion + $200 caps + hardware and have something much more capable.

It's the little shit that gets you. Pick up most of it used.

Are you doing the assembly of the engine yourself or having the machine shop that works on the block do it. It's been my experience that if a shop assembles a block it's better to get you parts from them. They'll know exactly what your setup needs as far as bearing size etc. Not to mention many shops aren't crazy about putting their name behind an engine assembled with parts the customer brought to them. If you doing it yourself then please let us or American Powerhouse know and I'm sure we can get you whatever you need. It's just been my policy to direct customers to the engine builder for their internal parts if a shop is assembling it, mainly because there's so many different options I'd hate to sell the wrong part and set you back on time.

As for the car, may I suggest you build the car for the engine before you build the engine for the car. You'll enjoy the new power a lot more when you can unleash it without the worry of leaving a trail of parts on the track or street!
