Supporting MemberGm performance parts lt4 "hot cam". Baby cam, good for a daily driver street car that just wants to make a little more power and noise. I loved it in my black 96 formula. It surprised alot of people for being as small as it is.

Supporting MemberCc306 is big for a mostly stock street car, all depends what your other plans are. Really needs a stall and gears, and a stout bottom end to take advantage of the power band, or you're gonna be either limiting how much it will make, or gambling every time you wait for that 1-2 or 2-3 shift with a 6500rpm shift point. But they sound nasty.

@Tubby Z28
Its has a stall converter and shifts hard into the gears. The last owner said it had a few things done to it but I can't remember what all he said.

Supporting MemberWhat stall? If the bottom end is a stocker but stout (tight, fresh, arp rod bolts, etc) go for it. From the lt1 camshaft selection guide on the other site by user "stealthformula"
cc306: (230/244 .544/.576 112lsa) w/ 1.6RR's
Features Comps Magnum lobes with are older technology but proven not to take a beating on valve train components. Has been proven over the years to make good numbers and perform well at the track. Similar in power output with the newer XE 230/236 with slightly worse drivability. Exhibits a very strong mid-range and top-end with some low-end loss. Not recommended for cars that are daily drivers or that have stock bottom ends/heads due to its large size in duration. Stock heads dont allow this cam to be used to its full potential so one with a built bottom end and head work would benefit greatly from this cam. Automatics require high-stall converters and gears and 6-speeds require steep gearing to run this cam successfully. Degree of cam surge will be determined by how good the tune is, stall size/gearing etc.
Pass Emissions?: No
Shift Point for Maximum Performance: 6400+rpm
Idle Characteristics: Very Choppy Idle
M6; Require Gears?: Yes
A4; Require Stall?: 2800+ Stall Speed
So it's all up to you and what u want from the car. I've had 1 hotcam car, 1 with a le custom cam (Larry's impala), and am building another with a custom cam, I've passed on buying a cc306 a few times. All up to you man, and good luck with car

It does... has long tubes on it... cat delete and I believe a muflex single inlet dual outlet muffler. The previous owner also claimed the heads were swapped, but we had no way of verifyimg that... also came with another untouched intake ready to be ported and a larger tb still in the box...
Now @Gassey needs to step up and handle some stuff...
