i snapped the front main off, broke the crank and cracked the front of the block.. i think it was a flaw in the metal from gm

Wow. What power level was it at?
Id be willing to bet anything that the crank snapping caused the rest of the damage. I tore down a block last year that had snapped the crank just ahead of the last pair of journals. It would crank over and and try to start but just sputter. When I tore it down I found that as the busted crank journal moved with the flywheel it would push the rest of the crank forward into the mains. They had a lot of wear but nothing was cracked thoughChris

it was a cam car. no nitrous or blower. mine snapped right behind the first two cylinders. i think it was a bad crank from the factory. now i a sparying a 200 shot on a stock bottomend with no issues. thinking of raising it to 250..

I know its fairly good for stock gm casting I have thrown 15psi at mine with an 80mm turbo all stock except for pistons and valve springs. that lasted about one year. here is the thing, I have thrown about $8k at my new lt1 and will be pushing 20-25psi this time maybe more if I swap to a bigger turbo. I dont want to be in the same state where I want more power out of it but its maxed out or the block cant handle more.
