Sounds great. I would recommend seats with a headrest for you. Your buddy's head doesn't rock back nearly as far as yours during a pull.

Hahah I'm a white gumby. I guess I'm too concentrated on the wideband or road lmao. Ill add a HANS device to my mod list lol.
I did have a bar, hated it. I MIGHT get another if I find one with swingouts.
I would try to work my neck muscles but I'm not invited to the LS guy parties.

Lol that's awesome. In all seriousness, i actually bent my seatpan at the shootout on the second pass about half track when it hooked, but I'm 325#. It now sits about 3" back further than the passenger side. To reinforce them I'm going to drill out the old seat studs, add an 1/8" plate where the seats bolt to the pan on the bottom of the car. Drill the plate for new hardware and tack the head of the bolt to the bottom of the plate. Then use some light 1/2" square tubing to tie into the frame.
