Your timing set doesn't have multiple crank key ways cut for different advance/retard cam timing by chance does it?

It's pretty hard to screw up installing a timing set really. Dot to dot is the #6 tdc position but it's the easiest to make sure they're lined up correctly. I'm afraid I would have to question the accuracy of their degreeing method before I would tear it apart. About the only other way it could have been screwed up is if there was no dowel on the cam and you put the cam gear on 120 or 240 off.

Well I am going to work on the motor when I get it back .... but on another subject for the time being .... I measured the drive shaft I got with the th400 and it's 44 1/4 eye 2 eye, total length 46.

With a th400 short tail shaft and stock rear axle is that length sound right?

well a much needed update ... got a cam ordered from Lloyd Elliott @NightTrain66

    235/247 .579/.600 @112 lsa

the cam that was in there was not going to do good with nitrous so he said that this will be much happier in there

so looks like about 3 weeks or so i am hoping to get this thing back together and running
