At idle not like a cam surge? My GMC I had to bump up the idle to around 900

Dont give up, tell you what, send me your pcm and Ill either reflash it or send you a different one, maybe it has a corrupt file, Sorry I cannot loan you one because the last guy I loaned a pcm to the Joseph Sullivan that I posted here ripped me off and never sent mine back, Let me tell you, Ill bet at least 90% of people here on the forum will tell you when they started modding their cars it was not just plug and go, but eventually we will figure out whats going on with yours and get it fixed.

Thanks Moe, I might try that and see what happens, im just over budget now and cannot be swapping anymore parts until I know whats wrong with it but everything is checking out fine.
Tubby, I actually bought the car with a bad trans and intended on fixing the trans myself and selling it for a profit, but it is the nicest 4th gen Ive ever been in so I decided to keep it and add some power. Now that nice smooth ride is jerking me to death and it really isnt very much faster I'm not as happy with it lol now I sound like a cry baby......Last edited by fullforce; 04-27-2017 at 08:04 AM.

Just drove it to work this morning and I thought someone had waved a magic wand over it last night. I drove almost 5 miles SMOOTH AS STOCK, I thought I was in a different car lol. Then I felt it...... but only under EXTREMELY light throttle, like pretty much right off idle it will sound like someone unhooked a few plug wires for a split second but if I accelerate it goes away.
I suppose because it was colder this morning than it has been it took it longer to warm up, I just dont get it fellas it runs soooooo good when I first crank it!!
Now I sound like a cry baby and a broken record lol, but I still have to say thanks to everyone that has been trying to help.
QUESTION Can I just run this thing in speed density mode or have it set to open loop?? Im really curious to see if it starts acting up just because its warm or if its because it goes into closed loop.

Just curious.... did you add more timing? Did you lean out the excessively rich condition at idle? And of course, your data log might have been more useful if you operated the car at the "parking lot" speeds where the problem occurred, rather than at 60+ MPH.

It does it at any speed right off idle just more noticeable in 1st or 2nd gear since the converter is unlocked.
I can defiantly do more logging.
I added a few degrees down low but it didn't seem to change anything may have added it in the wrong cells but I put it back the way it was.
After bumping the idle up the rich smell seems to be goneor much better anyways.

Are you running to stock converter? Did you say your fuel psi was above 40 while driving?
I think there are other issues going rather than the tune.
You should take a video while driving.
