The block bore was cleaned up and measured, sorry. That was after I took apart the motor I bought, local machine shop did that for me.
I am gonna take all the pistons to work and steam clean them then see what we have. The pitting you see is on the top ring, so IDK if thats dirt or what, but the tops of the pistons and the bores themselves looked great.Correlation does not imply causation.

be sure to clean EVERYTHING that touched oil (valve covers, bottom of intake, oil pana nd pickup, timing cover, etc, etc). The metal missing from the cam lobes went all thru everything and in a perfect scenario was ALL cught by the filter but in the real world it was not.

If it is open to head bolt hole make sure it is not open on other side of that hol to other port (cylinders 1/3, 5/7, etc). If it is connecting two ports that head bolt will need to be sleeved (use .502" guide reemer to enlarge the hole then install .500" brass tubing with loctite).
If it is just open to that hole it is just cosmetic as the boost will not go past the thread/sealant down into block or past the stud/nut on top either.
Was there anything different with that cylinder compared to the rest?
