Thanks for the replies. As I stated, will be doing a 383 this winter. Trying to decide which heads to get. Planning about 500 HP at the crank

Nice car!
We need engine pics and interior pics too! Lol
Dont go with AFR heads.
Go with Lloyd Elliot.
It's the most efficient way to go with the least amount of headaches. Not bad priced either campared to his competitor and trying to peice everthing together yourself.
He will give you heads, a cam, and port your intake and you're done!
AFR heads you have to find a cam and which springs. Then you have to find a LT4 intake and pay too much for it and pay more to port it. Been there and done that... or you have to buy a high priced Edelbrock intake.
Call Lloyd and get his TF ported heads, with cam, and have him port your intake and you will be at 500fwhp.
Advanced Induction can provide simlar products, but for a significantly more for maybe a tad more power.93 Z28, 383, PI 3200, Strange 12 bolt, 3.73, Strange coilovers, suspension, and going 24X... for three years or so.

Thanks for the info. I don't have a set of heads to send Lloyd though. Would have to buy a set to send him. Are you saying the AFR heads only work on the LT4 intake?

The AFR heads Requires an LT-4 intake. Give Lloyd a call he will lead you in the right direction. He is a LT-1 guru and he is about helping you achieve your build goal not saying you his products. His work sales it self.
