    I have always used Castrol GTX. The weight depends on your bearing clearances. Op can use 5 or 10-30

    for setting the rings I do the first drive cycle running the car to 3500 rpm (I have a 6 speed but auto use low gear) and let the motor engine brake down. do this a few times then increase to 4500 rpm. This loads the rings both accelerate and deceleration. Then just drive without maintaining a steady rpm for long. change oil at 500 mi, then 1000mi then every 2,000 mi
