no, synthetic - but if you are planing to use it wait like tubby said till after.

Conventional oil is cheaper and I change it probably prematurely at around 2,000 miles or less. So i'll stick to that. I just didn't know if somebody made a brand of oil that's intended for shorter intervals and stronger protection for a motor that's going to be beat on really hard.

With the racecar the oil gets changed once it gets to be a little brown on the dipstick. .... it never get to look dark brown or black.

Castrol GTX here...warm up cycle then changed. 500 miles changed again, now regular intervals.

Rotella 15w40 T3 stuff.
Its cheap, and I have a bunch of it in the garage. So far no issues with it.
Seeing 30-40psi at idle makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Loss of HP be damned.Correlation does not imply causation.
