72 LT-1 Corvette clone
For the past several years I have been aquiring parts for my 72 Corvette, and after many changes settled on the LT1. I have purchased a 1996 Corvette LT1, 4l60e, front and rear suspension, brakes, steering, seats, and front half of the 96 frame. I will be running an Accel DFI LT1 specific and LTCC for ignition and fuel. My engine goal is to run LE1 or LE2 heads and port matched intake, lunati cams efi series cam similar to the Voodoo 262, and 2.5 inch exhaust. The engine and trans had 28k miles before the 96 was totaled out, and will require the engine to be cleaned thoroughly cause of the dexcool sitting in for 21 years so I will slightly overbore and run a forged rotating assembly as nitrous oxide will be used. Will add pics soon.

Sorry for the delay in getting pics up. Finally got on my photobucket and it was giving blank images. I will get pics up once I remember how to skip photobucket as I am using my phones and haven't posted images in many years.

I will transfer from my computer a once it will not connect to the internet to my wife's computer and upload. I have only 3 pics on my phones and hundreds on my computer. Will do this evening since I have been so busy. If they were 8 days in a week me and my 2003 3500 Dodge dually diesel would be going and working.

the hood was a Vanacors 4" L88 style but I sold it off and am going with an original 72 LT-1 style hood. The windshield frame was rotted and was over 5/8" out of spec so I bought an 81 Corvette front cowl and cut the w.s. frame and the 81 w.s. frame and spliced the 2 together. It is now 1/32" on diagonal and 0 on the upper and lower corners straight across. I plan on a body off sometime this following year and put all the 96 Corvette drivetrain under it. I will have more pictures to come once I organize them.Last edited by 72LT1; 09-29-2017 at 06:47 PM.
