97 4l60e shift point
What is the factory shift point on a 97 4l60e? I don't know if my ECU has been tuned or what but I let out of mine at 6200 and it still hasn't shifted. And what's a safe rpm for a stock 96 4 bolt main?

Factory shift points were around 5800. You're probably not going to pick up any more power after 6000 with the stock cam. If its got an aftermarket cam you can probably stretch it out to 6300-6400 safely. I've seen guys go to 6800 on stock bottom end but I believe they were just doing it to say they did. Unless you've got a good set of heads there's no reason to spin one that high

Well I just want to make sure I'm at a safe rpm before I really let it eat and see what somebody had the shift point at. Thanks you so much
