Anybody run a 250 shot thru a plate?
Just wondering if any of you guys run a 250 shot thru a plate, with the stock intake?
I know I am safe with a 200, but would like to try a 250 if possible. I have all the supporting mods, just wasn't sure about fuel/N2O distribution. I wanted to hear experiences from people who have done it.
Motor specs are: forged and splayed 383 bottom end, 12:1 compression, rings gapped for 250 with studs and mls gaskets. Le2 equivalent heads with 2.02/1.6 valves, xfi 292 cam, ported stock intake, nitrous outlet plate with stand alone cell, torq head 24x with EFI live.1995 formula a4,100,000mi, 10 bolt 3;73,tci 3000,hooker supercomp Lt's,100,000mi,n/w plate w/150 jets, mt/dr's.,a few more bolt ons. 12.70's/105. 11.60's/118

I sprayed my old 355 combo with a 250 one time way back in 05 and felt a slight hiccup in the top of 2nd gear so I let off. Pulled back to the pits and checked the plugs and the back two plugs were melted. I am glad I let off when I did or it could have been ugly. It did run a 6.4@90 (it had run 6.495@104mph on the 150 shot) letting off in the 1/8 so it would have been a 9 sec pass for sure but not worth the damage. I was spraying with a single NX fogger so you could get different results with a plate. I would not spray 250 on a stock style intake without going direct port unless you were able to individually tune your lean cylinders though the pcm (you can but you might not be able to add enough fuel to compensate).

Over 200 you have to add fuel in the injector offset tables. I can't tell you how much, you'd have to have a way to measure individual cylinder afr or start fat and read the plugs.

Running a 200 on a plate with no issues run my shot a little rich to help with the fuel not making all the way to the back
