Pumps don't make pressure, resistance to flow does. The pump moves a volume of fuel, the fuel pressure regulator restricts flow as needed to maintain pressure.
Troy, in your other thread a while back I posted about the max amps. At 5 psi it was going to be around 4 amps by the chart I found. I would set your regulator at 8# and check the amp draw if you can, then size the circuit based off of that. You shouldn't ever need 8# of pressure but some carbs can like up to 7.5# depending on how they're set up

You will just end potentially heating up your fuel by making it constantly go through the pump with such a large volume pump. But it will work

Supporting Memberit's sloppy/hackjob, it should be a relayed circuit, what part of anything anyone has said here don't you understand? a switch is not designed to carry a load constant like that. also, a fuse pops at 80% of its rated capacity. fuses don't always pop quick enough even when sized properly, so wiring can melt as well.
a relay is $2, and a few extra crimp connectors. cheap insurance to protect your switch and other things. if the time and effort to do it right is too much, don't do it.
I've built cars being broke, shit I'm still broke. I'm captain zip tie, the rtv king, and I love crimp connectors. but there's things I won't hack, like using proper circuits in wiring systems, wire size, fuses, relays, etc. c'mon man.

No I am taking it all in consideration ... I've had some people tell me it's fine, some people tell me I need a relay some, people tell me I need to put the PCM back in simply to run the fuel pump. ...
