    I run a 180 in mine and it never gets above 180 at the housing and the heads but the wp sensor will say 200. But I'm betting with a little searching.

    The Hypertech 1008 is a 160 stat. Don't think it is a "fail safe" type....but what I have run for 19 years

    Why are u so dead set on running a thermostat. Just do as mentioned. Get a cooler one and call it a day.
