    Default Wheel Swap to the Impala...

    So I wanna try putting my camaro's wheels on the Impala. Been trying to research what adapters Id need. Can anyone confirm if this suggestion is correct. Also, if anyone knows how thick they should be front and rear to fit the 11" rears.

    I believe front is like 2" rear 2.25", but I could be wrong. may be easier to mock it up and try to measure

    Huh......that really surprises me that the Impy is a 5x5 pattern. How oddball of GM to do that.

    So should i pull a wheel amd set the new wheel in place and measure to from the outside edge to the edge of the quarter to decide how thick of an adapter I should get?

    If your 11" wide wheels have the typical offsets (45-50mm) the backspace is almost 8" and you might not even be able to get the wheel all the way on the hub without it hitting something on the chassis or suspension. The backspace on a factory SS wheel is only about 5" (8.5" wide, +6mm offset). In that case, position the outer edge of the wheel where you want it, with respect to the outer edge of the fender, and measure the distance from the back or the wheel hub flange to the axle hub flange.

    What are the exact sizes of your Camaro wheels - width and offset? Do you want the outer edge of the Camaro wheel/tire to sit exactly where the outer edge of the factory SS wheel/tire sits, or do you want to move it outwards toward the edge of the fender? If so, how much move outwards.... e.g. 1/4", 1/2" etc.?

    If you can give me the Camaro wheel dimensions and the location of the outer edge of the tire, relative to the stock SS wheel, I can calculate the thickness of the spacer/adapter, at least close enough that you could verify it by measuring between the hub flanges as described above.
