Default My first road race event

Today was my track day at our local track, Waterford Hills Road Racing. It was a BLAST! I didn't think it'd be as much fun as it was. I definitely need to keep doing this.

Overall, the car did good. The koni orange shocks and strano springs made a huge difference. It's a handling track. I think the fastest I got to was 90 on the back straight.

Definitely going to go this route I think. It's just too much fun.

    awesome man. car sounds good

if you have lower control arm relocation brackets move them up 1 hole. you don't want the max lca lowering when doing rr/autox. Will help neutralize car so it doesn't have snap oversteer and prevents brake hop when you start getting faster.

I am building my car for this very thing, next is brake upgrade for me.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm comfortable with the brakes right now. I experienced little to no brake fade. However body roll was something else I was either on the door panel, or leaning over the center console!

Definitely buying some strano sway bars and some new wheels and tires as my next upgrade. Today was honestly the most fun I've had in this car.

I have stock brakes so I'm a bit uncomfortable lol.

no problem man. I'm just not a drag racer and always loved turns and road racing. I've done a lot of research on suspension setup on these cars, and am working towards getting there again with this car.

hoping to have the car running right and to the point where I'm comfortable in fall to go to nj motorsports park or Pocono infield and see how she does.

join up on frrax.com if you want to research more.

Yeah I'm there with you. Drag racing was fun at first, but this is a whole new level!

I already have plans for next spring

Watch them all again way more fun then a strait line. And that exhaust sounds good.

It was way fun. The exhaust sounds perfect to me too. The people I passed and the ones behind me said to me that sounded amazing when I was in front of them. One guy stayed behind me just so he could listen

I'm already signed up for the next outing!
