    Default Project Gen 5 swap

Well I was lucky enough to get a gen 5 LT4 block, and I'm going to take my time gathering parts for a conversion to drop it in my 94. I've been searching for a parts list, but everything is so limited at the time. Any help would be greatly appreciated in the process.

I've been wanting to see this done!!

What kind of plans do you have and parts do you want to use?

Well as for right now the most difficult part is mounting everything. May need to go with a custom K-member, I know I can get some custom motor mounts done and there is a retro fit painless wiring harness with the ecm and fuse box. I've seen people use that on some of the A-body early model Chevys "'67-'72". But I'd still have to figure out how to run the fuel system and what kind of transmission I can pair with it. And of course a set of headers to clear the 4th gen fbody. It's definitely going to take me a while. What I may end up doing is running a conservative twin turbo setup with custom turbo headers. That'll cure one issue, and I'll try to keep it around 700-750 rwhp. That'll be plenty to get started.

Any updates on this? I'm doing a Gen V into a 3rd gen camaro and I, too, am finding out the hard way that it will be tough. My engine will be a 2017 Camaro LT1 with a TR6060 transmission. Gonna be fun.

Unfortunately I'm at a standstill right now, I'm in a tough financial spot at the moment. But I'm not going to abandon the project, I just have to balance a few things out right now. And if there's anything I can help you with, feel free to ask. Hopefully I can shed some light on your situation.

So far, I have the engine, trans, Holley swap oil pan and dipstick.
I bought the holley swap LS trans crossmember which I will assume will need modifying
I bought the Hawks swap shifter that definately will need modifying
Holley front accessory kit is on order.
Dirty Dingo ECM mount on order
    Need:
    Engine mount adapters
    Headers
Either modified engine harness or a standalone unit
    Reprogrammed ECU
    Clutch line
    Clutch master cylinder
    Trans oil cooler and lines
Engine oil cooler and lines, or a blockoff kit
    Driveshaft
    rear
    front and rear brakes
    Radiator
    Dash gauges
    Gas tank
    fuel pump

Need to figure out what to do with the headers. I know the LS headers will not fit the Gen v but is it just the bolt patter or is the exhaust ports different. I spent $10 and ordered a exhaust manifold gasket for both LS3 and LT1. Possibly order flanges and cut/weld on LS headers?

Fuel:PWM, gotta figure out how to use that

    etc etc etc
