    Default Recommended injectors: 350 LT1?

    Hello, new member here.

I'm looking to purchase some new injectors for my 96 Z28 Camaro. It has a slight hesitation/stumble out of the gate @ WOT for a split second - I watched a youtube video that demonstrated the exact same thing and the uploader recommended this site since some members here recommended new injectors and that fixed the issue (I've known about the site for some time now, never posted though).

    Basic info about the car:
    - 96 Z28 350LT1 Camaro (I've owned the car for 15 years now!)
    - 90k miles
    - Stock motor
    - Basic bolt-ons, intake, SLP exhaust, throttle body air splitter, elbow, MT drag radials
    - Just installed a new 2800 stall converter 4 weeks ago
    - Optispark was replaced a few years ago

I'm planning to get a custom tune very soon, but I'm thinking of holding off until I choose which type of injectors to install.

I'm not necessarily looking for anything extreme, something that matches the stock ones would be fine for me, but if I could do a small marginal upgrade without spending a ton of money and actually hindering performance, then I may go that route. Any recommendations for brands and types would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Oh, and here's a pic of her, I couldn't get it to upload directly.

There is a thread on injectors. You can read while you wait. Im just going to have mine cleaned and rebuilt cause Im going to use stock but there are others. Unless you are going a little more than mild to wild then an upgrade is needed. Sure there will be some who will say more.

No point in upgrading the injectors until you have a heads/cam build. Stock injectors will feed the engine just fine for 90% of the "cam only" builds so you have plenty of room to grow if wanted. I would recommend getting them cleaner though

    OP

How do you know your injectors are causing the symptom you describe?

I don't know 100% that the injectors are causing the problem, I haven't taken them out to examine them, I'm only comparing a video of another car that shows the same symptoms as mine.

The car idles perfectly fine, it only does this gurgle/stumble/misfire at the initial WOT (for a split second) and also when you stall the car up to about 1500RPM, it drops RPM and then gurgles/stumbles/misfires (this was happening prior to new convertor).

What about the other basic things. Have you checked plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, fuel psi under load?

Plugs were changed about 4 years ago, wires were not changed at that time, I haven't check the fuel filter or fuel PSI.

    Here's a video -

Oil pressure starts around 40, then when it warms up drops to about 20, and increases as it should when RPMs go up.

Keep in mind this ONLY happens when stalled around 1300 - 1500 RPM, when not stalled it rolls out perfectly fine at WOT and runs like it should.

I cleaned the MAF with MAF spray today, in hope for a cheap fix, would you recommend changing plugs then checking the fuel filter?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Sounds like when my water pump seal went out and would foul out the opti.

Did you replace with an electric water pump? Even if it is a seal that might be leaking, I think I'd rather upgrade to an electric pump as opposed to just replacing a seal.
