Default Fixing up the interior of my Camaro

Had a good productive weekend fitting the new carpet to my Camaro as well as starting to get the car back together.

The state of the interior has been bad for about 3 years. Exterior wise, this car is a 9/10. Interior wise, it's a two.

I initially removed the door panels to replace the power window motors and never put them back on, and kept procrastinating. I eventually replaced the driver side motor, but lost the screws to put the door panel back on. So I drove the car around with no door panels for a long time. I also removed the carpet on two different occasions. First time, I completely forget why. Second time was because I noticed rust starting on the top of the floor (t-tops previously leaked, but I replaced the rubbers) the previous time I had it out. So I got the floor grinded and painted. The OEM carpet was ripped and just in bad shape overall.

I also replaced my trunk struts as they were totally shot

Anyway, I'm trying to make up for years of neglect by getting it back up to 100% this year

Old vs New. I have to make all the cuts myself. It doesn't match the interior. But once it's in the car, it looks pretty decent.

Wow. I'm going to have to make a lot of cuts

Bare metal. I vacuumed all the loose dirt before putting the new carpet down.

New carpet's colour doesn't look so bad once in the car

Lots of cuts of faith later. I had the front fitted quite well, as well as the new floor mats. Note, I am missing the cassette holder. I believe it's attached to the centre console or the stereo... I forget TBH. Also, ignore the gremlin.

I had an MDF speaker mount made years ago as the original bose speaker was removed by a previous owner. It got wet and needed to be remade. I dropped it off to a stereo shop and had them put the door panel back on. Big shout out to Popo for screws he sent me! I only received one door panel screw in the lot, however I was able to get 10 matching screws from a local screw (is that what it's called?) shop for the rest of the door based on using the one screw as a template. He also sent a door lock and door trim for the passenger side, but I ended up using the door lock on the driver side as I seem to be missing both. I'll need to make another list soon

    Still to do:

-Fit carpet for the rest of the backseat and hatch
-Clean up back seats and put them in
-Passenger door power window motor and door panel. Order orange door lock switch.
-Fill the spot where the cassette holder used to be. No idea what to put there.

Next year I'm going to replace the headliner and seat covers (probably from lethal)

    UPDATE MAY14TH:

    Finished up!

    Thanks man!

Do you happen to have the other orange slider for the other side? I should've bothered you for the other side last time we talked.

I really don't though, lol. I'm just fed up with not being embarrassed to have people in my car.
