If its a 350 with stock rods/rod bolts i would suggest keeping the RPM below 6300-6500 RPM.
If you have good rods/bolts you can spin a lil higher, just do not let it detonate if using stock pistons. You would want to keep any engine from detonating but even more so on a boosted set up plus the stock pistons are very unforgiving on detonation/boost.
Is the car a B body, F body or Vette?
What gears in rear end?
What blower?
How much boost?
What RPM are you wanting to shift at?
What fuel (92/93 pump gas, E-85, race gas, etc)?
Meth inj?
Intercooler?
$300 for a custom cst LT1 cam or $380 for a custom BILLET LT1 cam with Everwear gear (comnpatable with stock oil drive gear - no need for bronze gear).
That covers the prive but the actual specs will vary depending on the answers to the above questions.
To give you an idea, here are some "base" cams that cover what most are doing to give you an idea of cam specs . . . . . .
215/228 .533/.566 114 LSA - 1500-6300 RPM very mild idle (similar to GM 845), works with mild gear/stall.
223/235 .565/.579 112 LSA - 1700-6400 RPM semi choppy idle (similar to CC 503), 3.23/3.42 gears (or better), 2800/3200 stall (or higher).
231/243 .581/.597 114 LSA - 2500-7000 RPM choppy idle (similar to CC 306) 3.42/3.73 gears (or better), 3600 stall (or higher).
We can do what ever cam that you need with more/less duration, more/less lift, wider/tighter LSA, etc.
Give me a call (leave message if i can't answer) and we can go over your set up to find what will work best for you.
