Thanks again, I am seriously considering trying out the dumped sound. It is not a DD or anything just a weekend car mainly.

3" Borla XR1's on header collector extensions. With just the Borla's and no 3" pipes back near the axle and turndowns, the sound would rattle my chest, but adding the pipes and turndowns made it reasonably bearable. Let me see if I can post a video. Not real good as far as sound, because it was on a chassis dyno and picked up all the noise from the engine (solid lifter cam) and the big fan in front of the car.

A little late here but my car had a flowmaster in place of the stock muffler when I bought it. I love the sound of the Bullet/dump before axle but it is LOUD inside the car and you will smell it if sitting in traffic. So what I did was run the 3" 18"long bullet with a cutout before axle and retained the flowmaster behind it.
It is EXTREMELY quiet when I close the cutout but you can still lightly hear the cam and under load its still got a v8 rumble, just not waking the dead and massaging your brain the whole time your driving.
Just my experience, also the drone inside is much worse in an automatic car.

Yeah my cutout came in today, I'm going to take agenthol advice and try that for awhile. I'm going to install directly off the y and see how well I like it.

A friend of mine just put Black Widow Venom 250's on his 93 corvette and it sounds great. I'd never heard of these mufflers, but will be ordering a pair. They have some sound clips on their website.
