What are the odds your pet will recover from paralysis for the fee? That $$$ may be better spent on a doggie wheelchair if his pain is not a major issue...and a cheaper route in the long run. Granted some surgery may be needed for infection containment, but prolly @ a lower cost as needed. Something tells me that as a war vet (Thanks for your service, sir), you can quickly adapt and make things happen. Just sayin' as a lifelong dog lover and advocate.

I am still waiting to get him in for a MRI once that is done we can figure out what the chances of him walking again are. As with everything in life I am hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.

Wow sorry to hear that man.

Our dogs are like family to us too, and I would whatever it takes if something happened to one of ours.

Got some awesome news today. I ended up driving a bit over 100 miles to go to the University of Florida's vet school. They currently have my dog and are going to do a CT scan then the surgery all for $3000. I've been busting my ass detailing for the last few weeks and scraped up about $1000 so over all I made off pretty well. The vet said there is a 96% chance of him walking again . Looks like I will be able to keep the bird a bit longer
