So I did a thing
Changed my mind about going with the stock bottom end. Got a good deal on a forged 355 short block and this happened...

Je pistons, eagle forged lightweight I beam rods, forged crank, splayed mains, torque plates, ARP hardware everywhere. Balanced blueprinted and ready to go and he's giving me a bunch of other parts that I'm going to pick up next week, here's the crazy part it cost me 1,200 bucks.

Very tempting lol but I've been patient enough waiting to build another block. So when I found this deal it was all I needed. Shooting for low 11's high 10's with some suspension work NA. And if that doesn't get me there I'm pretty sure a 100 hit should do nicely. Only real debate now is do I run the cc306 I already have or get something a bit more aggressive. 🤔

Nice score! I would get a custom grind cam spec'd for your build. Give Lloyd Elliot a call. Extra money spent in the right area is well spent money. Congrats on the purchase!

Thanks guys I can't wait to get it back on the road, I talked to Lloyd a few months back and he gave me a pretty solid suggestion when I told him shifting at 7k wasn't an issue lol. All I know for sure is I'll be cruising and putting a lot of the local "racecars" in their place by the end of March.
