    Default Newbie tuner..

Hey guys, I am looking at getting into and understanding more about tuning. I have a mild 96 Z28 that moe has done some mail order tuning for me. I also have a highly modded 01 TA that has been dyno tuned by a shop in Wisconsin. Where is a good place to start or a good company to purchase from in your guys opinion? Thanks.

You're gonna need jet dst to tune obd2, which is a pita. Google is your friend. Start reading about how the lt1 computer works.

A more expensive choice. But still there nonetheless.

Honestly, obd1 swap or 24x. Obd2 computers love to brick

I would ask moe if he could draft an obd1 version of your tune and convert your car if you can (depends on emissions where you live). I use a Moates ALDL cable, Tunerpro RT, and CATS Winflash for all of my tuning on my OBD1 converted 96Z and 95 Roadmaster. The cable is $80 and the software is free.

All he really needs to do is buy the right cable from them and borrow my tuning unit... just wanted to see why he wanted to mess with his tunes b4 offering.
